This explains what personal information Relay collects when you visit the site, ask to join, or log in, why we collect it, and what your rights are.
Who we are. Relay is the service behind this website. For privacy questions or requests, contact SepterOfOrigin@gmail.com.
What we collect
Your join request: full name, email address, city and country, the kind of products that interest you, your reselling experience, which marketplaces you use, a short note on why you want to start reselling, a password (stored only in scrambled form, never as text), whether you said you are under 18, and your confirmations that you are 13 or over and accept our terms. We read your answers to decide whether to approve your account.
Technical data: when you apply, we store a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address so we can limit spam. We do not store the plain address.
Login details: once approved, a private access code linked to your email so you can log in.
AI helper key (optional): if you connect an AI account in the Ask tab, your key is kept in your own browser only, and is not sent to us.
On your device: your login session, your saved vendors, saved searches, chosen sites and similar preferences are stored in your own browser, separately for each account. They are not sent to us.
Why we use it
To review your join request and contact you about it.
To give you access to the logged-in area, and to protect the site against spam and abuse.
To write a short welcome message after you ask to join. Only your first name, the product type you chose and the sites you picked are used for this.
Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before an agreement (your join request) and our legitimate interest in running and securing the service.
Who handles it for us
We use these services to run the site. They process data on our behalf:
Cloudflare hosts the website.
Supabase stores join requests in a private database and runs the login.
Resend sends the notification emails.
Anthropic writes the short welcome message described above.
Google Fonts supplies the fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when the page loads.
CoinGecko supplies live crypto prices and charts in the Invest tab, so your browser contacts CoinGecko when you open it.
YouTube supplies the videos and thumbnails in the Help tab (see below).
Some of these providers are outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards they offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
Help videos (YouTube)
The Help tab shows videos made by other people. Thumbnails load from YouTube when you open the Help tab. A video only plays, and its player only loads, when you tap it. Playing uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, but Google still receives your internet address and may set cookies once you press play. Links that open YouTube leave Relay and YouTube's own policy applies.
Market information (Invest tab)
Live crypto prices and charts load from CoinGecko, so CoinGecko receives your internet address when you open them. Stock, index, forex and commodity figures are sample data. Broker links open other companies' websites. Relay does not take or place orders and does not receive your trading details.
Ask (AI helper)
The Ask tab only works if you connect your own account with an AI company: Google (Gemini), Groq or OpenRouter. Each is chosen by you.
Your messages go to that company, not to us. Your browser sends your questions, and the recent chat so far, directly to the company you pick. Relay does not receive, store or read them. That company's own privacy policy and terms apply, and on a free plan it may keep your messages or use them to improve its models. Check its terms before you use it.
Your key stays in your browser. It is kept for the current browser session by default and is removed when you close the tab. If you tick "remember on this device" it stays until you disconnect or log out. We never receive it. Anyone using the same browser while it is saved could use your key, so do not tick that box on a shared device.
The chat is not saved. Messages are held in memory and disappear when you close or reload the page, or tap Clear chat.
Do not type passwords, card numbers or other sensitive details into the chat.
The helper is an AI. It can be wrong, and it does not give personal financial advice.
Third-party websites and affiliate links
The vendor, marketplace and deal links in Relay open other companies' websites. We are not affiliated with them and they have their own privacy policies. We do not share your join request with them. Some links may in future be affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy. We will say so clearly where it applies. Once you visit a seller's site, it may set its own cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep join requests while we are reviewing them and for as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your data, we will, unless the law requires us to keep something.
Your rights
You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy. Contact SepterOfOrigin@gmail.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority, in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Age
Relay is for people aged 13 or over. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should know you are joining. If we learn that someone under 13 has asked to join, we will delete their request. We do not take payments or sell anything to anyone, so nobody is asked for payment details.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
